After searching for stores online before i went away and writing down their address, here is my guide for the best bargain shops to have a browse in whilst away in orlando. I was probably more excited to go shopping than i was to go to Disney! with so many American Groceries and potential items to buy and Baking stuff!
I wrote these all down in a book and guess what? i lift the book on the armchair at home ! luckily i took my tablet so just googled the stores and the rest we found as we were shopping out.
This is by no means a definitive guide and there are many others probably i did not go into. Feel free to comment if you know any others i didn’t mention here.
We all love a bargain and to make your holiday money go further there are an abundance of discount stores about. I happen to go away on the Saturday after Black Friday so expected to get some bargains but not for the whole week and a half after then! it was a great time to go and i go so many deals and half price items, made my money go 3 times as far for what i brought.0

Well shall we begin?
OREOS
I had in mind first of all to get some of the Flavored Oreos which i did succeed in getting a good choice. These are quite cheap to pick up in Walmart and Target stores. Managed to get Peppermint Bark, Apple Pie, Pistachio thins, Rocky road trip and Chocolate peanut butter pie. I also picked up some Oreo o`s cereal and some Oreo pudding mix which i adore ( should have got more of them)
American Candy
We have all the best Chocolate from Europe and Cadburys and Americans have a huge array of Gummies, Candies and Gums.
Again Walmart dollar tree and Target and Walgreens/cvs sell candy. Cinnamon Bears for Xmas they go to Cinnamon Santa’s plus Seasonal m&ms
The biggest surprise for me to find and see was Lindt Lindor!
I know i expected to see the original ones, but not so many different flavours apparently made by Lindt USA and their are more flavours as well.

I found most of these in DD`s Discounts, Michaels and Bealls outlet. and some in Walgreens. There is a shop in the Discount designer outlet that sells Lindt balls and Lindt chocolate but at regular price not discounted.
CEREALS
The Cereal aisles in the Supermarket are quite long and full of different Cereals, i found a few but their are many, i chose the supersize bag of Reeses puffs from Target, Pumpkin spice Frosted flakes, Chocolate peanut butter shreds and Oreo o`s
COFFEE CREAMERS
Now in the Uk we are in the dark ages it seems when it comes to Coffee Mate we just have a plain unflavored one. In the states they are overflowing with flavours both long life and fresh. We had the chance to try a fair few to take home and whilst we were there. their was so many more as well.

when in say I brought Pop tarts back, people say “but they sell them here” not these flavours strawberry milkshake ones were my fave and the watermelon ones. All time fave is brown sugar cinnamon

Only managed to find a few, they also do several more flavours
BEALLS OUTLET
The store has a similar style to tkmaxx which a lot of stores have in common, they sell clothes mainly and homewares at the back. worth a look i found a 90c Halloween cookie cutter. These type of stores also sell Sweets Chocolates on the cheap also. My mum got 2 xmas sweaters and some bed/sofa throws from there.
DD`S DISCOUNTS
I saw this store on the way back and fourth to the parks, seemed like a clothes store from the outside but also has Homewares and Chocolate. I did pick up this Parrot shirt for just $3.49 what a bargain! perfect for me to wear to the Universal Volcano bay water park.
Worth a look for sure for clothes, homewares and general. I also got some Dinosaur xmas socks and some baking pans. It is a store where 2 stores would not be the same so worth visiting multiple ones.
TJ MAXX MARSHALLS / HOME GOODS – This is the equivalent to a tK maxx /HOMESENSE
I was a tad disappointed with these stores looking the most forward to visiting them. I am a big tkmaxx lover so anything like these stores is a great place to shop for baking things, seeing they are state wise also figured they would have a big offering. Especially for Bundt Pans was i wrong ! i only managed to get a few things
- Embossed xmas tree rolling pin (Ii put it in my hand luggage as i had no space in my case and they stopped my bag at security and searched it , thinking it was a sort of bat lol i told the security lady i plan to beat cookies not people lol )
- Xmas tree holiday cake tin – look forward to using that this year
- Cookie stamp
- Giant Gingerbread man cutter and some Xmas spatulas.
CRAFT STORES
I was also quite excited to go visit the craft stores for baking stuff and was not disappointed i managed to get a fair few things including a huge 20 cavity Donuts pan, cookie cutters and piping tips. These are equivalent to a Hobbycraft here in the UK so expect about the same price not bad

This is by no means a discount store equivalent to a UK Lakeland – which i work for yay
They do however sell bake ware and all manner of kitchen items. I was interested as the Black Friday sale was on and i brought some Holiday autumn stuff and reserved for store pick up for half price or more. They also sell Nordicware and had to get another pan which is full price but if you see the price of them here in the UK then it is cheap at $33
DOLLAR STORE
I was excited to go to Dollar store as they have a great selection including several freezers of food and things our pound shop would never have. I got these tins and boxes which are great quality and value. I also got some cereals and candy. And a Xmas pickle!
I would visit multiple stores as each was different in some stock than the last.

It is no surprise most people will opt for supermarkets for quick snacks and meals in between visiting the theme parks and going out. Walmart and Super target are great for all kinds of meals and snacks. Walgreens and cvs are a great place to visit for quick groceries including Water, snacks and any drugs you may need as well as toiletries.
SHOPPING MALLS
- The Florida MAll – variety of stores from Disney store to Claires places to eat and department stores moderate pricing like shopping at home.
- Mall at Millennia – We got lost and another ordeal trying to find the Mall at Millennia, to pick up my order at Williams Sonoma. It is very much a Bluewater type mall so higher end stores and a few Department stores like Macy’s
GETTING LOST AND LOSING THE CAR!
Once we picked up my Williams Sonoma order we left via Macy’s where we came in, or sow e thought we must have spent an 1hout looking for our Red Car and lost all hope, we had to get the security man to help us. He took us in his Car and turns out the store has 3 exits and we was way around another side of the parking lot. He said it was common for people to get lost there. Whilst i was looking on the grass i slipped and my white shoes fell in this puddle of mud! SCREAMS! from then my White shoes were no longer White.
- Flea markets – There are several types of Flea Markets around in the Kissimmee area, the one we went to was not great, a lot of stalls much the same all souvenirs.
DESIGNER OUTLET MALLS
We visited one of the Designer outlet malls looking for the Disney Character warehouse.
They sell old Disney merchandise from the parks and stores at great lower prices much seasonal past stuff. Dad got some Disney Pins i didn’t get anything from that one. Well worth a visit early as apparently it gets busy.
Spending a great deal on a Orlando holiday and going to Disney you want to be able to eat and shop somewhere decently priced. Hopefully my experience on holiday may help anyone planning on going away and picking which shops to visit a helping hand. Of course it depends on what you are looking for, in my case it was craft stores and Groceries but all these stores offer something for both kids and adults at a discount price.
