It has been just over 2 months since i came back from my holiday in the states. I am still going through my holiday photos and finished all the food section, which was by far the biggest amount i took. Here are my faves i visited whilst in Orlando Florida and good suggestions if you are planning to visit yourself. There is plenty of choice for different budgets. I consider myself a big foodie so no surprise a lot of my holiday photos are of food.
We stayed in the Kissimmee area next to Old town and found it great and closeby to everything Parks and places to eat and drive to shop. Do look out for the Newspaper Lockers on the sidewalk for Coupon books, a fair few deals for some money off albeit not much and some places decent savings.
Cracker Barrel Price Level Moderate
We saw Cracker Barrel on the way to the Disney Parks Nearby Old Town in Kissimmee
Not sure it was actually a place to eat or a shop, turned out to be both!
Offering Country style eating in a cosy atmosphere with a roaring Fire and apparel all around on the walls. The menu was varied and i chose a steak with fries and Green beans. My dad had a sampler plate Dumplings, Chicken, Mash potatoes, meatloaf. They bring a tray of hot Biscuits and Cornbread muffins to share. The Hot Buttered Biscuits were light and Buttery, dads sampler was not that great missing the Meatloaf not much Meat and the Dumplings were chewy and flat( unlike fluffy ones we know here in the UK) My steak was nice. Nice atmosphere but maybe choose something else from the menu.

Chillis Price level moderate
Burgers meals etc we did have to wait for a table as it was busy, 1st time in the whole holiday we had to wait to eat. The food was great but service a bit poor due to it being busy. The Burger i had was one of the Biggest and most Calorific i have ever eaten and was delicious! It was so Big i could not anyway fit it into my mouth, after even squashing it comprised of Rib Meat, Bacon a patty, Onions and some Salad with Fries. I loved it
The Boss Burger* Mouth Burgers®

Perkins Price Level Moderate
Home style eating and very affordable, great attentive service and great range of Dessert Pies Whole or by slice. I choose a Meatloaf with Mash Potatoes and Greens and crispy Onions. I loved that and dad had an almost Thanksgiving dinner of Turkey Gravy Cranberries and Mash Potatoes. Mum had Cod and chips

Arbys Price level Low
I remember when i was little going into Arbys and having a Burger of this Wafer thin Beef and fries and soda. This time round all grown up i had a BBq smokehouse Brisket
- Smoked Brisket
- Smoked Gouda Cheese
- Crispy Onions
- Mayonnaise

. That was really nice with Curly Fries and my favourite American Soda Fruit Punch and was not greasy at all. Highly recommend visiting

Wendys Price level low
Another fast food Burger Chain, never been before and visited whilst we was at a Shopping park i had a Maple Chicken Burger which was delicious, again with Fries and my fave soda Fruit Punch Recommend to visit and decently priced also

Mcdonalds price level low
Okay so Mcdonalds is over here in the Uk also, but the menu does differ sightly
Just had a Holiday Pie in there which is filled with Custard and like a poptart covered in frosting and sprinkles. They also served a Guava Pie ( out of stock sadly) and they also had on the menu Peppermint Mocha ( never tried that or seen before)

Golden Corral Price Level
All you can Eat Lunch Dinner Buffet I remember visiting when i was younger and the same happened again. I had finished my Soda and then the waitress brought another refill before i could say. Very attentive or a ploy perhaps to fill you up on Soda. It was much more expensive than i remember for Dinner. It was nice plenty of foods to choose from Pizza, Smokey Chicken, Meatloaf, Southern fried style Chicken, Veggies, Chips, Steak, Salads and these Dinner rolls which are sweet and Buttery ( i could have eaten a plate of those alone!) Unlike most places when it comes to Dessert they fall flat on range. They offer a great selection of Desserts from Apple Pie, Chocolate fountain and RKT on sticks, Banana Cream Pie, Cookies, Chocolate Pudding, Brownies Bread and Butter Pudding, Cobbler

Price range intermediate
Pizza Hut
Pizzas with Cinnabon rolls on offer for dessert hmm

Taco Bell
Never been to Taco Bell here in the UK or the USA
Food was okay, Lots of different combo meals with Tacos we had Steak, Tomato, Lettuce and a SUPERSIZE SODA (I have never seen such a big Soda cup in my life before) the Sugar!
Price range Low

Rainforest Cafe Price Range Intermediate
I have been to the Rainforest Cafe a few times and is one of my favourite places to eat, purely on the atmosphere, the food is good but limited to the same Burgers, Pasta, Salmon dishes. The menu rarely changes much. I do love the MOJO BONES RIBS and also love their Strawberry Daquiri the best i have had. I wore my Parrot shirt for the occasion after we visited Animal Kingdom. Lots of photos of the Animatronic Animals in action.
This time round i had the Pulled Pork Burger, which i thought was just Pulled Pork but turned out to be plus the Burger patty also!

Steak n Shake Price range Moderate
My Partner kept on about Steak n Shake and how we don’t have it here in the Uk.
We had to go and see what it was all about. Diner style food great selection of Shakes and when we went was happy hour on shakes! so big shakes half price. I had Eggnogg mum had Peppermint. Would easily have had another one. The burger was lean and came with Fries great friendly service
Would recommend to visit

Denny`s Price range Moderate
Denny`s is a likeable Diner style place where you can have Burgers and meals and Shakes. I had a Cake Batter Shake and my dad had Horchata ( Mexican style Cinnamon Shake) I had a Beef steak which was a strange one Parents had Burgers. They also offer Breakfast and Cinnamon roll Pancakes hmmm ( wish i had had them )
Great cheap place to eat friendly service.

DONUTS
Now who would not think Donuts when they think of USA?
I knew i would be having some regardless from where they came from
I had heard of Voodoo Donuts before but knew nothing of their range. Saw one at Universal Studios Citywalk so knew i would like to try some. Sat in the cool looking Donut throne outside the shop for a few piccies. They offer an extensive range of Donuts i chose the Grape Donut ( thought it had Lavender flavour sprinkles but were just coloured Lavender) with a Grape dust icing. The other choice was the Voodoo Donut with filling. Mum asked for a souvenir box wish i had got more different ones to try also.

DUNKIN DONUTS
Although we do have a few branches in the Uk, none near me i was excited to visit and see what varieties they had on offer. I picked out an Apple Pie Donut ( dusted with Cinnamon powdered Sugar and Apple filling and a Maple Donut.
Parents picked out some Seasonal ones Santa Donut hole and Kisses

ENTEMANNS Donuts
I remember these from my last holiday in 2006, when i saw them i grabbed a box. They are essentially Cake Donuts with a Chocolate coating on top. We took these to Disney for our Lunch one day and i had some for my tea another day.

Starbucks Price Level Moderate
I was excited to go to Starbucks stateside and see what they had on offer different from the Uk. I was a little bit let down as they only had a Snickerdoodle Hot chocolate not Latte, but did have a Chestnut Praline Latte ( sadly they could not confirm the Nuts used in it so i could not have it, with my Almond allergy) Turns out to be a syrup to should have been fine. I plan to recreate that one at home. Had an Eggnogg Latte instead.

CINNABON Price Level Moderate
We used to have a Cinnabon here in the UK but they all closed. Since then nowhere to get these calorific sweet treats. So when we got to the states it was top of the list to visit.
One was located on Citywalk in Universal studios Orlando and one inside Islands of Adventures Park, we ate in the park one. only 800 calories per bun LOL
They also offer Middle of the Buns which we did not have here on menu. They even have a kiosk at the Airport!
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS
Paired with a very strong Coffee as Americans just give you Creamers to add, haha in this case like 2 for this huge cup need much more as it is strong.

WALMART BAKERY Price level cheap
Many low budget treats can be found in the grocery store Bakeries for cheap snacks to take to parks or have in your Hotel room. Found quite a few treats for the room and to take with us out including Coffee Creamers and Pastries and Pies.
Puff pastry slice filled with a Guava jam and topped with icing.

Wal-Mart again 50 cent pies Lemon Pie, sweet potato, Blueberry, Peach Pie, Apple
The Lemon Pie was like a lemon filling and I plan to make a peach pie !
and the Strawberry rolls which were very nice.

Strawberry Rolls – filled with a Strawberry Jam swirl and covered in Strawberry Icing
these were very nice, they also had Raspberry ones

Their are plenty of Long Life packaged sweet treats available to take with you to the parks etc like these Hostess Streusal coffee cakes ( NOTE do not contain Coffee they are Cinnamon streusal, just that they go well with Coffee)

IHOP Intermediate price level
We saw a commercial for Ihop and that they had Grinch Pancakes, out for the film
Funnily enough had brought a Grinch shirt from Primark and Socks to wear when i went to Universal so wore them both for Breakfast when we went there.
We went there for Breakfast one day the only day we ate out for Breakfast.
The Pancakes were Green with a Cream Cheese like topping, Cinnamon candy hearts and whipped Cream. They were nice but the poster showed 4 Pancakes when in fact you just get 2. We had a stack each and some regular Pancakes to share
It was busy when we went in and the waiter wasn’t very attentive, anyway we ate and then got the bill. We gave him the money and he gave us it back and told us to leave a tip! Showed us this tipping chart on the inside of the receipt pad on what what we should give him. THE NERVE!
