Here in the Uk we all know the phrase “Have a break, Have a Kitkat” a slogan used since 1958. This blog post will be all about the past and present versions. From the Uk to Australia and beyond. But first a brief history!

Kitkats were introduced by Rowntrees of York in 1935 as “Rowntrees Chocolate Crisp” later changed to the name today. Were popular during the war years and exported around the globe. In 1988 Nestle purchased Rowntrees and this became Nestle Kitkat, besides the Usa. An agreement between Rowntrees and Hershey in the 1970s meant, they were made under license by Hersheys in the Usa.

The 1st flavoured bar in the Uk was Chocolate orange in 1996 and continues today with countless versions across the globe. Japan alone has supposedly had 300 flavours!!

I have been lucky to try many different ones, by buying online and travelling, so this will be a look at different ones old and new from here in the Uk and Worldwide. I know their are many more to

LASTLY KITKAT CHOCOLATORY

A fancy pop up experience store, where you can make you own custom small bars. Often overpriced for the experience alone. John Lewis sold some of these flavours back in 2019. I got them all in the sale afterwards. For what you got still a lot at the reduced price.

Well we have come to the end for now!

Do you remember any of these or tried them? have anymore you can remember not on the list? let me know and new ones to try.
