On a Disney trip in the past, first thoughts would be of the rides and merch. For me now at this age 34! it was foods to try! i made a list of the ones i knew about and cult classics. I follow many blogs on youtube so keep updated with news. DFB food guide shoutout!

There is so much to cram in, so i did about 12 snacks in my time at California Adventure/Disneyland. Bearing in mind i had much more food i got from elsewhere to eat. Looking at you Walmart Bakery!

Here are the ones i tried in June 2023, would have had more if i could fit into the day, without interrupting my other meals. This year marks the 100th Disney Anniversary, so extra snacks but i was not attracted to some of these tbh. I went for the cult classics and some new stuff.

I had my eyes on mainly sweet snacks, as i have a sweet tooth besides ( Popcorn, Candy Apples, Lollipops, Sugar Cookies etc) and for us not the Turkey leg! each to their own.

Disney foods come and go for the season and special promos. The classics are around regularly. Anyway here is what i ate and drank. I would suggest bringing bottled water with you( $4-5 a bottle in parks!) and a snack. We made sandwiches and a bag of Crisps for Lunch and had snacks around the park, we ate outside the park for dinner.

  • Corn Dogs from the Little red wagon – get with a bag of chips on Main Street Usa
  • Matterhorn Macaroon – From Jolly Holiday Bakery off Main Street Usa. I got 2 to share for the 3 of us. Coconut Macaroon topped with white chocolate and coconut. heavy for the size and shareable.
  • Quantum Pretzel from Pyms Test Kitchen -Avengers Campus California Adventure park. This is massive and comes hanging on a stand with the Cheese Dip. Deffo shareable for 3 people or 2 or 1 very hungry person. That Cheese sauce will not last for the whole Pretzel, so maybe order and extra one.
  • Mickey Beignets at Disneyland Hungry Bear Restaurant temporarily x3 in a bag of powdered Sugar. Shake the bag and eat!
  • Sweet Spiral Ration – from Avengers campus California adventure – at the Terran Treats stand This is a warm Yellow coloured spiral Raspberry churro
  • Cosmic cream orb – from Avengers Campus California Adventure – at the Terran treats stand this is a cream puff filled with Raspberry cheesecake coloured Purple
  • Dole whip from the Tropical hideaway at Disneyland there are countless flavours around, but here i got Pineapple and Mango swirl. You can also get Strawberry Pineapple and Mango
  • Mickey Pretzel various carts around Disneyland – I go the Guava cream cheese dip fruity and creamy and delicious with the warm Pretzel
  • Mickey icecream Bar- i got mine in Target! a pack of 6 for around $8 smaller than the park ones, but the same Mickey shape and taste, save your money towards another Disney snack!
  • Oreo Churros – from the Churro cart in downtown Disney area near the Tram stop. Covered in Oreo crumbs with a cream cheese dip. These had a decent dusting of crumbs and the dip was like the Oreo cream filling
  • Maple & Bacon Churros in Disneyland california adventure in Grizzly peak. These are drizzled with Maple sauce and bits of bacon, wish the Bacon was crumbs like the photo, were random bits, too big for me.
  • Blue Milk – From Galaxys edge Disneyland Milk Cart. It was like a milky fruity slushy, not what i expected from reviews i read. It was nice in the heat, supposedly Coconut ? Green one also available.

Other foods to try ( I missed out on)

  • Black cap cold brew Star wars Galaxys edge
  • Smores cold brew Coffee cart in California Adventure near Pacific wharf
  • Abominable treats Lemon and blue dole whip cone Pixar pier California Adventure
  • Grey stuff Gateau – Red rose taverne
  • Monte Cristo Sandwich New Orlenas area Disneyland
