Since before Lockdown in London from Covid 19 and during i have had an abundance of Chocolate bars from overseas to keep me sweet and tastebuds entertained. Mostly from USA but also some from Australia and across Europe

And no i have not been just eating Chocolate during lockdown i also do over an hour of exercise a day on the Wii Game and Exercise Bike. It has worked out 30 mins of bike exercise is roughly a Chocolate bar 250-300kcal. That does put it into perspective when you are eating them and also has impacted when and how i eat them.

I discovered mostly from Instagram and via GB GIFTS a site that sells imported products, that Australia has a big range of Cadburys products that are nothing like what we have here. So ordered some as they were pricey and my usual American Candy Bars from Americanfizz online .

Dairy Milk with Pineapple mallows !

Now this is what i mean, Nothing like Cadburys here in the Uk! It was nice and the Pineapple pieces were chewy. Would have liked a bit more Pineapple flavour. You can get this from Gb gifts i was lucky to get it discounted because of the date.

I sometimes am looking further away for Chocolate Bars and there are some right here on my doorstep i have never had.
Dairymilk Big Taste – Milk, Dark and White stacked together in Triangles
Twirl Caramilk – A twirl from Australia with like a Caramac style filling
Dairymilk Coconut Rough – An Australian bar with bits of Coconut in it, like a Bounty Easter egg in the shell. Loved this one!
Cherry Ripe/ Cherry Ripe Dark Ganache – Imagine of Cadbury made Bounty bars with Cherry pieces flavour.
Dairymilk 30% less Sugar – My colleague at work advised me of this one. It is creamy and sweet but it uses fibre so does kind of glue your mouth up.
Dairymilk Gingerbread – Xmas edition which was very nice shall be getting some more at xmas time.

Cherry Ripe – The original Cadbury Australia A bounty with cherry flavour/pieces
Pineapple Bounty Europe- Saw this from Russia OMG these are divine really fruity i need about 6 of these or at least a fullsize bar.
Dairymilk Freddo milky top Bar – From Australia with Freddo Faced Milk bottom White top bit underwhelmed with this one
Cadbury Caramilk Thick – This is basically a bigger thicker Cadbury Caramel Bar
Twix Cookies and Creme – sounds great but taste a bit artificial to me
Kit Kat Protein Raspberry & Hazelnut – liked this one nice and fruity
5th Avenue USA – Chocolate and Pb was okay
Milkyway Salted Caramel – Tasted more like a thicker Dairymilk caramel bar with salt!
Reeses Nut Bar -was nice there are a lot of Chocolate pb bars in the states they must love them.
M&Ms Chocolate Hazelnut – if you stuffed M&Ms with Chocolate spread
Snickers Peanut Butter – This tastes like a Reeses cups but in Bar form
Lion Just wild – Europe Cereal topped with caramel chocolate
Lion Pink Bloom – Europe – Fruity Yogurt coating over a Lion Bar was different.
Eat more- Usa This is more of a Candy Bar as it has no Chocolate, instead it is Toffee and Peanuts in a long Bar. This was nice
Turtles – Canadian Pecans, Caramel and Chocolate in a cluster. Was interesting to try but was not a big fan of the combo.
Milkyway Simply Caramel – USA – Another Dairymilk Caramel like Bar
Twix triple Chocolate – Chocolate Caramel, Biscuit and coating this was nice
Zagnut – Sound slike a Superhero rather than a Bar. This again has no Chocolate but is Coconut and Peanuts in a bar much like Butterfinger in consistency.
Baby Ruth USA

I still have more to sample from my imported Kitkats from Japan to Lindt bars from Europe and some more American candies to try. I am never without Chocolate it seems and i love trying new flavours and ideas. And as more come out the list grows from these shores to far away.

Choosing what to try and when is the tricky part, just have to pick one at random and usually that pleases all. I usually share the bigger bars and candies out and the single bars i eat myself or divide in half to share.

The clearance sections of sites are always a great way to find discounted Chocolate and other products, discounted purely because of best before dates. Which are fine to consume and what i live off mostly for seems everything from Cereal to everyday meals.

If you are looking to try something different than try

Americanfizz online – regular discounted products and always a great decent price range of American, European and Canadian goods.

Gbgifts – Products from all over does have a clearance section time to time can be a bit pricey.

American food store Selection of American goods and also a clearance section time to time.

Do you have a favourite Chocolate bar from abroad?

till next time
