When i heard that  that there was a designer outlet at the 02 i was curious to go after finding out there was a Lindt shop and Cath Kidston store. I did not know it been open since October last year. I myself do not really buy designer clothes so have no interest in getting them cheaper at prices  which i probably still would not buy.

Just 2 stops away from me from West Ham and only £3 return fare offpeak, i did think if i only got something in the Lindt shop it would make the whole trip more expensive but got several things so worth it.

I went purely to see Cath Kidston and one of my colleagues told me about Lindt and also saw a Whittard on the store directory. I had been debating going for a while but finally went last week and again today. When you walk into the 02 it is very swanky with the Gold glittered steps and the hanging Silver balls. It is nice and clean and not too busy when i went in the morning. There are places to sit with floral displays and more shops to come in the lower level i am told. icon 7

CATH KIDSTON

My 1st trip was into Cath Kidston i had thought i might see some of the Alice range from a while back, but guess that time has passed. I did find some London plates and a teapot. These are perfect for my London theme afternoon tea. The 1st time i got the Teapot and the 2 big plates. I asked if they had anymore and was told they can order some in. So i ordered 4 side plates £2 each and 2 more big plates £3 each

so i got 4 side plates 4 big plates and the Teapot for £28  put it into perspective that the Teapot alone is that cost! i did see bowls but not wanting them.   Total should have been £56 plus the side plates.

I spotted some Disney Bambi and Snow white items so worth a look every so often. They also get outlet only items.

WHITTARD

I can remember going into the lakeside  store when i was much younger and trying the free samples of Tea and i loved trying them all. I have never really shopped there with the prices, but have seen and brought some products in Tkmaxx. Well was not sure what to expect as they have end of line products but also deals on the products they sell usually.

The 1st trip i got some flavoured Teas and 2 other blends. They had a cup of the Tea out to smell and they both smelt amazing. The 2nd trip i got the Hot chocolates on 4 for £20 they retail roughly about £8 each pheww pricey!

They offer samples of Teas and the Hot chocolates so try them if you can! and also give you samples sometime.

i got 4 Hot Chocolates on the offer, although the cashier scanned them wrong so total should have been £23 it was £27 then it went to £36 then it went to 22.98? well  saved 2p lol

THE LINDT SHOP!

Probably the most air conditioned shop i have ever been in!

After i brought back the many different Lindor balls from the states have been interested trying out new flavours so from the Pick and mix i got

  • Cappuccino
  • Mangoes & Cream – this i had seen at the airport and not got damm
  • Champagne
  • Yogurt forest Fruits
  • Yogurt Raspberry
  • White and milk
  • Noisette – Whole Hazelnut in the middle

They have a few outlet bargains Easter stock  Boxed Chocolates and some Lindt Excellence bars for £1. I saw some Chocolate bars not seen before got them and a Chocolate mousse mix and Hot chocolate mix.

After a debate i decided to get the very expensive ! 5.99 a jar Chocolate Hazelnut spread and the Dark Chocolate one. From reviews it seems like it is the Rolls Royce of Chocolate  spread, we shall see it better be! for the small size jar it is!  You cannot get this anywhere else but online and in store

There are plenty of other stores to look at, if you shop in these stores. You can also go downstairs back to the 02 for a bite to eat at the restaurants

I wish they had a Disney outlet store like they do in the states with old stock this would be great. Florida has the Character warehouse and another store in the outlet mall with ex theme park merchandise at cut prices. This could work the same here for old stock and since it would be a standalone store stock would probably not be an issue.

Disney  store if you are looking idea for you !
