It is soon the end of January and all Glimmers of Christmas have mostly faded from store shelf’s and decorations until another year. It has been a mad mad time for sure, more so than any other year as the sales have progressed much quickly than years before. I highly recommend signing up to hot uk deals the forums are great for finding local deals and sales as well as national deals.
Supermarkets do not send out emails to say when the 50% is now 75% so the forums are crucial i found out about the 75% Waitrose sale and the wilko 75% one and went out swiftly. In a flash what is left can be gone when everyone is in the know.
Most times the signs have not been changed in-store so only way to know the price is to ask or self scan, which is the case in Wilko and Waitrose. I was there knowing it was 75% off and it was empty so i had a freehand as soon as the signs changed the stock left was minimal.
I also found out about Wilko having a clearance section online and ordered a few xmas sale bits and waiting for them to arrive still.
This year with sales changing quicker than before some stores hold onto prices till the last minute like Morrisons which took hardly anything off and also the Christmas Jumpers were a different situation this year still £5 even now at the end of January when last year mid January they were all £2. i managed to get 6 and the few in Sports directs sale which came earlier than expected and caught me off guard.
Got a lot of Nuts, Chocolates and treats in the Tesco and Waitrose sales so plenty stocked up for baking experiments and treats for anytime. Got more Mincemeat also, always have an ample supply of that. Not the usual Cheeses or meats we got last year.
It does require a lot of patience and watching the forums and being at the right place right time. The poundland sale started at 50p which the year before was it, this year it then went down to 25p and then 5p ! yes 5p!
Poundworld went down to 25p then 10p got plenty of stuff baking boxes, gift bags, trays, and a few xmas decs.
I suppose you have to be ready to go out in an instant as soon as you hear about the sales, which doesn’t suit everyone for those working full time
I usually look at the start of Christmas at things i like and wait , some things i discover by chance in the sale and it`s literally get it while you can. Some stray items may make their way into February and March in stores like clothes and be reduced again, especially online stock like Jumpers which i watch like a hawk.
It is possible to get a lot of if not all your Xmas decs, cards, crackers this year and use for coming Christmas if you can. Some deals i have heard of are steals but all gone already or specific to an area or store. I try not to go mad but it is nice to try things you would not normally have at full price for a real fraction at xmas sale prices.

Just done a super Shop Wilkinson have 75% off xmas gift sets, xmas decs etc got the animated deer head for £5 instead of 20
Plus tkmaxx got nordicware snowflake pans for £7 each from £20 big snowflake for £11 and a Halloween mould.
