It is now 4 months into 2016 and i look back at the last 4 months of Cashback apps and coupon shopping. Every week you neve rknow what to expect will pop up on offer for free or very cheap. It can be very easy to get carried away and buy the items for the sake of saving money, but if you do not buy them regularly or in any case it is best to step back and leave them unless you know someone who may benefit by them. When offers pop up and make items cheap or next to free i sometimes buy them like biscuits and snacks. Being a  abker i prefer to bake my own biscuits but times do call for emergency snacks so always on hand.

One problem with these offers is where do i put all the stuff? we now have storage containers in the kitchen and other places and the shed full of  stuff such as drinks, sugar, crisps, spices, tea, syrups, protein bars, raisins. All these things tend to come in multiples so i almost have my own mini supermarket.  Need to keep a close eye on dates as having more stuff than usual can mean stuff can slip out of date ( most stuff is fine but perishables like yogurts and dairy have to be thrown.

The  cashback apps offers can be limited, some a week or so, some a dew day or even a day !

so sometimes it means popping out to get the item asap, frustratin when you cannot get them due to store not stocking them. Some tmes seem to be regional so whilst others can get it  soem can`t so miss out. Missed a few offers  like that.

Try to make up for it using my instore coupons from supermarkets  they send time to time so use the value off to pay for some items and get them free.

It is not always free but couponing and the apps keeps me busy and sharp looking out for price changes and offers to make the items free or next to free, it can happen so quickly and not long to get the item and take advantage of the offers. Soemtimes i can be going into town 2-3 times a week when normally i make a journey into town once a week to mooch around.

It`s all worth it when you see what you can get  but it is constant work. I now have what people call a bit of a stockpile of booze drinks and items to save in the long run.

You can of course sometimes make some money from it also! i sold some of the items i do not eat or drink on ebay and made some cash which i put towards my cakey jam business and other endeavours. Some i donated to friends and family and locally where i volunteer at my local community centre. A thing to look out for is when the cashback apps offer is fixed at an amount and the supermarket changes price to lower than that, meaning you get it free  and make a little money ( happens sometimes) and instore promotions can leave you with a profit. You can use the profit to pay for other items or save it and make a little profit.

Joining the online couponing pages on facebook is  a big help seeing what people post and people sharing their shops as i do and updates on deals and offers about.

I guess in a way its coupon exercise making you get into town ( as i walk) get the items then repeat sometimes, a shopping trip into town  now is rarely without journey for a item for free or next to free.  The more you do it the more you get into it and pick up deals and tie ins with promotions, and occasionally make a mistake and end up paying more than you calculated you would.  I always have an eye out for bargains anyway  reduced to clear i am good at being there at the right time, finding special offers andquirky one off things.

People tend to follow me around the shops  looking at the same things as me at the same time! i guess they like my taste as long as they dont buy the one item im after than its fine but if they do thean hulk adam will come out. RAWWRG

Well here is to the next 4 months of shopping. seeya then, adam x
