Can you believe it`s already halway through January? sales are starting to come to an end and time to grab last minute deals.

I continue to look for the odd Christmas Jumper lurking in Primarks near to me in the sale for £2. I went there Monday and they had moved them around again what was left, i found them  all in sizes too big for me ! saw a Xmas cardigan, really nice but a large and an XS size jumper. No prices as usual so cue the pricecheck at tills and wait for the price!  both £2 so got the xmas cardie my 1st one! and brought the other XS size for the community centre managers son as a gift.  Candy is always telling me she likes the Jumpers i get and one time was telling me to get the jumpers for her and she would pay me.  Her son turned out to be sick at home and she told me it fitted him great and he loved it. It had a penguin on ski`s design on it. She had told me he went iceskating and was dancing on the ice it seemed so a good design to have found.

I also decided on Monday to make my video about how to save money over xmas and in January sales. It has tips, links and some stories of how i plan and strategise my sales and shopping over the Holidays and January https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6RIYShpNMs

Not much baking done this week or couponing a few bits of freebies.

Had  a meeting about running a market stall at a local Market. That is on hold till March at least till the weather gets better and the market picks up.

Did try out my new Valentines heart moulds with my Green tea Ice cream flavour Oreos i got from Chinatown in London on Pride weekend. I also got a Grape & Peach flavour to try out. They were quite cheap compared to the American imported ones you see, but smaller in packet size. The Hearts turned out great but couldn`t taste the Gren tea oreos much being a subtle flavour. I used Milk and Dark Chocolate for the Oreos so next time will just use milk was a bit rich  with the inclusion of the dark Chocolate. Unfortunately the Grape & peach  flavour were awful in my opinion really scented tasted like air freshener really fake taste!

The green Tea Matcha Icecream flavour Oreos were nice and slightly tingly taste like Mint. I think pairing the Green tea flavour with white Chocolate would be better next time.

so what can you get for £10? i got a xmas jumper, xmas cardigan, scarf and shirt/tie set should have been £44in total.

Plus some xmas hats in Claires Online sale. it`s not over till it`s over!

I had some issues with Claires as i ordered a Moving Turkey hat was £16  for £1.50  thought wow what a deal! with the Xmas dinner fascinator last week or so, it arrived and made moises but didnt move.  I Contacted the customer services  to confirm it is indeed faulty they offer if i return to refund it, but for £1.50 i wanted a replacement not a refund. No stock left they said! so i thought  i will keep it anyway not much money to have paid, go online see it there online again! 1 left brought it with another present hat in the sale this time buy one get one half price so paid £2.25 for the 2 and the post. It arrived and did work this time. I made a complaint  that for my 1st order being sent faulty goods wasn`t good and made me weary of shoppinig with Claires again, especially since the hat was online when they said it was all out of stock so got offered a £10 giftcard so accepted that.

A lot of sales are comng to an end this week and stock is dwindling online and instore, decorations well down in shopping centres and about town. There are still some good deals to be had with online sales for stock left. Lakeland  usually have a 75% off sale around this time, later than last year but waiting for that. Also sports direct are yet to have a further Xmas sale. I got some Sleigh hampers from Bhs were £16 each to£4.80  each so got 6 online to avoid paying the delivery charge which is as much as the cost of  another sleigh. I paid £28.80 should have been £96.00 and will use them for this years Xmas display for my Jams and treats, possibly use them to sell as a hamper too! they come with biscuits, mini jams and a pud so worth it too!

WELL ON WITH ANOTHER WEEK AND WHATEVER IT WILL BRING ! ADAM X
