The month of October is all about Halloween for me, Spooky Bakes, Spooky props and a spooky sale after Halloween. Halloween is one of my favourite Holidays where spooky goings on occur. It is an opportunity to make spooky bakes, cakes and make a spooky display. Every year i look forward to the stores bringing out their range of goods from tableware to animated props. I look more forward to the after sales where everything goes 50-75% off. Most stores start in September and the last week in October start outting it away for the Christmas stuff displays. Some stuff therefore disappears before even making it to a possible sales situation.
Throughout September and October i look out for fun and quirky items in poundland, 99p stores, Home Bargains tkmaxx, Homesense, Tiger stores, Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, Waitrose, Sainsburys and wherever else! Stores change stock throughout the month so worth checking now and then.
A video of some things i found Lots more on my Facebook account https://www.facebook.com/adamthepastryguy/videos/vb.100000980840544/987777591264926/?type=2&

Here are some Spooky bakes i have got to make this October for Halloween and got to do a Halloween themed cake stall for an event ( People will not understand my excitement about that, as they dont come around very often at all around where i am) Spooky Marshmallow pops, Spooky oreos, Gingerdead Men, Spooky Shortbread shapes, Bat-tenburg, Tofee Apples, Liquorice Toffee Apple and a chance to try out my new oreo moulds i brought for halloween
I managed to get 3 items in the Halloween 75% sale 2 of the ones i wanted so better than nothing but dissapointing on comparison to previous years hauls.
October was good as i received my print copy of my photoshoot photo now in a frame, got a notification in my email that i won a competition i entered for a renshaw hamper of icing goodies, when it arrived wowsa so much stuff! and 2 free bars of chocolate made with xylitol in one fo those instant win competitions with Holland and Barrett and won anotherchocolate baking ingredients hamper through a photo competition.
Plus the usual couponing thtoughout the month with a few freebies here and there.
Found some cute stuff for Christmas already including a santa cookie jar, a discounted Christmas wreath and a christmas sack. So eyes open now for the Christmas decorations for display and christmas bakeware. Time to get started with some festive baking also!
